CNic Photography Behind the Scenes of 2024

Wow. We officially made it to the end of 2024. This year was such a year of growth and new experiences and I’m so thankful that God brought me through. 2024 was full of learning how to let go of certain things in my life…to trust God and His plan…to do less and rest more….and to be more present. I traveled to Fredericton for a special family session, and then to Boston, Morocco and Hawaii for some personal adventures. It was the first year of doing Lilac Blossom Mini Sessions, (which were SO fun!) and NOT doing Christmas Tree Farm Mini Sessions. I did a lot more serving with my local church, and took on more  opportunities with playing softball. All in all, I can truly say, I’m thankful for 2024 and the lessons it taught me, both professionally and personally. I am excited for 2025 and whatever the Lord may desire to do. My goal is to be faithful wherever the Lord may use me.

I started off the year with Nick and Nicole’s beautiful Elora Mill Wedding, which was SUCH a fun and special day. My friend Ashley seconded for me and is always a joy to work with!

My friend Soph assisted me for Naomi and Josiah’s wedding at Piper’s Heath Golf Course, which was such an enjoyable night! It was a hot summer day, but we got such a perfect golden hour!

Testing out those angles 😛  So so bright 😛

I think picking out a random bug from the bride’s dress! 🙂

Such a perfect evening!

One of the highlights of the year for me was seconding for my sweet friend Esther, who moved away at the end of the summer. Such a FUN, DEEP, LOVELY day in the Distillery District 🙂 Love you so much Esther!

Exploring the Downtown at night 😀 These will be memories I cherish <3

Nathan and Blissy asked me to photograph their engagement photos, and while the walk to the Bluffs was SO muddy, the time spent was so rich. Love these two!

I’ve had more opportunities this year to photograph weddings for another company, which was such a lovely addition to my summer!

I got asked to photograph a proposal on Toronto’s Center Island, which was such a fun day of exploring and SHE SAID YES!

Another sweet wedding day in Caledon with Ashley!

I did an intimate backyard wedding in September and ran into some friends (and their kids!) who I used to babysit and go to church with. So special!

THEN THE TRAVEL. SO MUCH. Boston, Fredericton, Morocco, and Maui. Trying new experiences, seeing new sights, learning SO much.

My last CNic wedding was for dear Lorenzo and Nicole. They had SUCH a fun night filled with friends + dancing!

And to cap off the year, one last wintery wedding seconding for Ashley! It’s been such a joy to work with her, and although I was not feeling 100% at this wedding, she was so gracious. Love you Ashley!

So. What’s next? I’m still planning on doing weddings + families for 2025, as well as serving my local church and pouring into my friends + family. As to specifics, I truly don’t know. I think 2024 was filled with a lot of growth, and I want to continue in that. Growing to trust the Lord and allow Him to lead me where He thinks is best. I want to be open to new experiences and continue trying new things. 2024 had so much travel, and while it’s a blessing, I do think I’d like to explore more of Canada in 2025. I truly want to live FULLY and FAITHFULLY in whatever I do. So, here’s to 2025, whatever it may hold!
